Islamabad High Court (IHC) has rejected a petition in connection with consultation with the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) for appointment of chairman NAB declaring it non maintainable
Chief Justice (CJ) IHC Athar Minallah remarked during the hearing of the case appointing chairman NAB is mandate of parliament. This court can not interfere in this power of parliament nor can it issue any order to it.
He further remarked the petitioner has referred to what decision of Supreme Court , several decisions have come after this decision. Rule of law and constitution will have to be ensured for supremacy of the country.
The court rejected the petition declaring it non maintainable.
