Participants here stressed that it is highly imperative for national development to ensure political, social and economic rights to women folk.
There will no compromise on fundamental rights of women, says Muhammad Faiq Shah, chairman of Amun Taraqqi Party while talking to a women’s delegation from South Punjab here at the party’s central secretariat on Saturday.
A large number of women were present in the meeting.
The women, on the occasion, presented several proposals regarding local issues, political requirements and importance of their respective localities.
Shah said his party under its ongoing vigorous movement has given crucial tasks to women.
He stressed that a major chunk in the fiscal budget should be ensured for women education, jobs, skill learning, and political movement.
Faiq made it clear that the country couldn’t progress until women economic and empowerment as well as providing them all due rights.
He demanded for allocation of over a half the share of women and youth in the budget because they are a real force and source of development for the country.
If the women and youth would have avail equal opportunities then they can change the destiny of the whole nation, Shah asserted.
He said ATP is bringing up women from every constituency as they have great experience of politics and society.
Shah praised that South Punjab women are highly hardworking, diligent and patriotic and they can play an integral role in removing deprivations in their respective areas.
He demanded allocation of a specific share for women in the fiscal budget.
Society can be altered with knowledge, education and political training of women, he hoped.
Faiq assured the women delegation that they will raise their issues at every fora.
Whether creation of South Punjab province or redressal of deprivations, we will raise these at every forum, he vowed.
