Syndicate approved KMU budget for 2022-23


The Khyber Medical University (KMU) syndicate on Saturday approved the budget for the new fiscal year 2022-23 and decided to further improve budget utilization mechanism and fee structure.
The syndicate meeting of the university was held under the chairmanship of provincial health and finance minister Taimur Saleem Jhagra at Governor House Peshawar, said a press release.
Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Malik Wajidullah, Vice Chancellor KMU Prof Dr Zia-ul-Haq, Additional Secretary to Governor Saif-ul-Islam, Secretary Higher Education Department (HED) Dawood Khan, Finance Department, Establishment Department and representatives of Higher Education Commission attended the meeting.
On this occasion, Prof Dr Zia-ul-Haq briefed the participants of the meeting about the details of annual budget and overall financial situation of the KMU.
The syndicate granted conditional approval to the university to bring CP fund rules presented by the government in line with the rules of the provincial government. Provincial Health Minister Timur Saleem Jhagra directed the KMU to further improve the surplus budget target.
Moreover,Kamran Bangash, Minister for Higher Education chaired meetings of the senate of University of Engineering Technology (UET) Mardan and University of Lakki Marwat at Governor House Peshawar.
The Senate approved in principle the annual budget for the next financial year 2022-23.
The Senate meetings were briefed by the Vice Chancellors on the details of the annual budget.
The Senate also directed the University of Engineering Technology Mardan to include KPIs in the budget.
The Vice Chancellor gave a detailed briefing on the construction work of the University at the University of Lakki Marwat Senate meeting.
