Minister praises KP govt’s ‘Khudar Pakhtunkhwa Budget’

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Irrigation Arshad Ayub Khan Tuesday congratulating the provincial government on presenting the Public Welfare “ Khudar Pakhtunkhwa Budget” said that the provincial government presented the best public and welfare budget within limited resources.
He further said that ration and education cards were being introduced to provide relief to the people in the recent severe wave of inflation which would benefit millions of poor people of the province.
Irrigation department is trying to cultivate more area in the province he said adding that Rs 25 billion has been allocated for the irrigation department.
In addition, the Central Working Development Party (CWDP) approved the Chashma Right Bank Lift Canal project at a cost of Rs 238 billion, which will irrigate more than 300,000 acres of land in the southern districts which will bring the green revolution in the southern districts.
He said the government has approved establishment of a medical college for Haripur and classes would soon start at Pak Austria Institute, which would provide higher education to the people of Haripur at their doorstep.
The provincial minister further said that in order to provide relief to the government employees, their salaries and pensions were increased by 15 to 16 percent so that the government employees would not face any difficulties.
