PPP-KP chapter observes 69th birth anniversary of Benazir Bhutto

Pakistan People’s Party Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter on Tuesday observed the 69th birthday anniversary of former Prime Minister Shaheed Benazir Bhutto with great spirit and reverence.
The districts and divisional presidents of the province organized various events in connection with the birth anniversary of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.
During these functions local leadership and workers paid glowing tributes and remembered her sacrifices for restoring democracy in the country.
A number of PPP workers in Peshawar, Mardan and Malakand districts recited the Holy Quran and offered Fateha for late Benazir Bhutto eternal peace.
They also performed a cake-cutting ceremony on this occasion and remembered Benazir Bhutto for her courage and wise decisions to promote democracy in Pakistan.
In Peshawar, the People’s lawyer Forum organized a cake –cutting ceremony at Peshawar Bar. The People’s lawyer Forum provincial president Gulab Shah speaking on the occasion said that the mission of former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was carried out by Benazir Bhutto and now it lies with Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto and Co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari.
The lawyer forum members, including Yawar Naseem, Tila Muhammad, Zulfikar Afghani, and Tariq Rahimm participated.
The PPP Lawyers Forum and its leaders paid rich tributes to Benazir Bhutto on the occasion of her 69th birthday.
The People’s Student Federation also arranged a separate event in the provincial secretariat of the party in Peshawar.
PPP senior leadership and former members of People’s Student Federation participated in the event.
On this occasion, prayers were also offered for the elevation of the ranks of other martyrs including Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Mohtarma Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.
Speaking on the occasion, PPP workers and local leadership paid rich tributes to the services made by the first woman Prime Minister of the country and Muslim world.
They vowed to continue her mission and to bring socio-economic change in the society. It is pertinent to mention here that PPP central and provincial leadership across the country remembered Benazir Bhutto on her 69th birthday.
A statement issued by the party’s media cell Bilawal House, PPP Chairman in his message also paid a rich tribute to the first elected Prime Minister of the Islamic World.
Benazir Bhutto was born on 21 June 1953. She was the first female politician in a Muslim majority country who served as the Prime Minister.
