PESHAWAR
Acting Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani has said that professional and hardworking officers were assets of our country as they play key roles in the country’s progress and upholding its dignity in the international community.
He made these remarks while interacting with the officers of Management Group 49 Common during their visit to Governor House Peshawar here on Tuesday.
During the meeting, the officers were given a detailed briefing on the constitutional duties and roles of the Governor in a democratic government. Acting Governor Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani said that government officials who come after systematic and hard work are the future of our country.
Officers who joined the civil service through competitive exams play an important role in the country’s progress and upholding the dignity of the country in the international community, he added. He said that the bureaucracy should always support merit and justice without any kind of political pressure, adding that in the best interest of the country everyone has to perform his duty and responsibility in the ambit of consitituton.
In a separate development, the Vice Chancellor of University of Engineering Technology Nowshera Prof Dr Zafar Khan called on Acting Governor Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani at Governor House Peshawar. The Vice Chancellor on this occasion briefed Governor KP on several issues pertaining to the university. In a statement issued from Governor House Peshawar added that the Acting Governor Mushtaq Ghani assured the Vice Chancellor of resolving the issues facing the university as early as possible.
