Badaber police, acting on a tip-off, thwarted an attempt to smuggle drugs from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Punjab and arrested two persons in possession of drugs. More than more than 112 kg of high quality hashish was recovered from their possession and during the preliminary investigation both suspects confessed to being in smuggling drugs from KP to Punjab. One of the arrested suspects hails from Kurram district and the other is a resident of Khyber district.
According to DSP Badhaber Malik Habib that cases have been registered against the accused and investigation enhanced to reach the other members of the network.

The arrested accused identified as Sarfraz Ali and Fazal Rehman. A truck used in drug smuggling has also been taken into custody.
