Police says 4 year Maryam killed by his father

The Charsadda Police on Friday arrested the accused involved in the murder case of 4-year-old Maryam.
According to District Police Officer Sohail Khalid, Maryam was killed by his father on the suspect of illegitimate daughter.
A pistol was also recovered from the possession of the accused from which he wanted to commit suicide.
The slain Maryam was gone missing from her home a week ago and later on police found her dead body near Jindhi river.
As soon as the incident was reported, DPO Charsadda Sohail Khalid and SP Investigation Charsadda Sajjad Khan visited the spot and the house of the victim’s family.
Taking immediate notice of the tragic incident, Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Moazzam Jah Ansari issued instructions to Regional Police Officer Yasin Farooq and DPO Charsadda Sohail Khalid to arrest the accused as soon as possible.
The team reached the conclusion of the investigation and included the father of the little girl.
During the investigation, the brutal father confessed his guilt and said that he had slaughtered and killed Maryam.
During the three days of police custody from the court, the accused was found in possession of a murder weapon, a knife and a pistol from which he wanted to commit suicide but the fire was extinguished. Further investigation is underway against the accused.
