Mayar Himayatullah Mayar on Wednesday presented a budget of Rs one billion two hundred seventeen million nine hundred twenty thousand five hundred seventy-three for the financial year 2022-23 in the tehsil council, 30 crores 75 lakh 63 thousand has been allocated for development projects in the budget.
The tehsil council meeting was held here on Wednesday. The meeting was presided over by presiding officer Babar Khan. Addressing the council meeting Hamayatullah Mayar said that the total estimated income for the financial year 2022-23 is Rs 1,217,920,573 while one billion 21 crores 21 lakh 42 thousand 360 rupees have been kept for expenses.
He added that Similarly, the provincial government expects Rs 7 crores 50 lakh as tax from movable property, 14 crore 7 lakh 80 thousand as octroi share, 23 crores 80 lakh 63 thousand for development fund, tehsil council one crore rupees, licence fees and daily commodities one crore is expected.
Hamayatullah Mayar said that 66 crore 28 lakh 14 thousand 643 rupees have been estimated from Tehsil Council Mardan’s own sources of income, in which 49 crore 75 lakh from property tax, 15 lakh in the form of transfer fee of shops, 24 lakh in the form of Qing Chi license fee, 60 lakh rupees from premium shops, 5 crore 35 lakh 8 thousand from bus stands. 3 crore rupees for map fee, slaughter fee 10 lakh rupees, fair cattle 1 crore 1 lakh 10 thousand, science board advertisements 1 crore 91 lakh rupees while the rent of shops includes 3 crore 30 lakh.
He added that 70 crores 61 crore 68 thousand rupees have been set aside for pension, while 15 crore 24 lakh 10 thousand rupees have been kept for non-salary. He told the meeting that 30 crore 75 lakh 63 thousand rupees have been kept for development projects, in which 6 crore 45 lakh rupees have been kept for ongoing projects and 23 crore 60 lakh rupees for new projects and roads, streets and drains. 50 lakh rupees have been earmarked for repairs.
He said that 20 lakh rupees have been earmarked for attracting the youth towards healthy activities and promotion of cultural sports, 20 lakh rupees for the study tour of Tehsil Council members and 25 lakh rupees for helping people during natural calamities.
Hamayatullah Mayar, while expressing his indignation at the absence of officers in the budget meeting, said that the officers of the departments who did not participate in the meeting have been given notice for the last time that they make sure of their attendance, otherwise strict action will be taken. He said that efforts are also being made to repair the servant quarters of government employees and build new houses and schools for better education and training of employees’ children.
Directed the Assistant Director Local Government to issue instructions to the secretaries to pass the budget in the Neighborhood and Village Councils. The Governor also announced the honorarium for the Finance Department and District Council staff who worked day and night in the preparation of the budget. Later, the presiding officer adjourned the meeting indefinitely.
