ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s ruling elite and bureaucracy is enjoying luxurious life style despite country is facing serious economic crisis, it emerged Friday. According to details, national exchequer is all set to pay billions of money to the officers and employees of National Assembly and the Senate Secretariats. It has been decided to bestow these bureaucrats with billions of public money for performing duties during budget session, held in June. Sources revealed Friday that 72 billion rupees have been allocated for this purpose, out of which a share of 40 billion will be showered upon National Assembly Secretariat’s officers, while 32 billion rupees will be awarded to the officers and employees of Upper house of the Parliament. It is pertinent to mention here that current National Assembly Speaker Raja Parvez Ashraf had already announced massive bonuses for the NA bureaucracy while Parliament officers and employees already enjoy luxury of having two-times more salaries than other government departments.
