PESHAWAR
The Hayatabad Medical Complex received the highest number of awards in Post Graduate Medical Institute Excellence Awards 2022 in a ceremony held in Peshawar on Friday.
Excellence Awards is a regular annual feature of the PGMI where Public sector hospitals of Peshawar are awarded based on their excellent performance.
HMC-Peshawar, a public sector hospital, received a total of seven awards on the occasion while Dr Sanaullah Jan, Director, Pakistan Institute of Community Ophthalmology (PICO) received the award for best supervisor.
Dr Liaqat Ali of Institute of Kidney Disease (IKD) received the second and in-charge of Pathology Department, HMC, Dr Shahtaj got third position in best supervisor category.
Dr Sanaullah Jan said that HMC-Peshawar was not only providing the best health care facilities to their patients, but also training new students.
HMC’s Cardiology department was declared the second best department in the province while Orthopedic and Spine was ranked third, he added.
Apart from this, two medical trainees working in the hospital won second and third position awards in the best trainee category, he said.
The Hospital Director congratulated the officers for receiving the awards and expressed that the hospital staff will continue to provide the best medical care and show excellent performance.
