Peshawar Police have finalized security plan for the month of Moharramul Haraam.
According to the plan, more than 11000 cops would be deployed to provide security and all mosques and around 62 imambargahs have been provided foolproof security.
A total of 116 processions would be staged in the city. Besides regular force, canine unit and bomb disposal squad would also be on duty while the sensitive places would be monitored through CCTV cameras.
The supreme command post has been established in Kohati locality while six command posts have also been set up in other areas of Peshawar.
Entry and exit points of Peshawar are also being monitored while snipers would be deployed high buildings.
The CCTV cameras would be checked at Gulbahar, Sharaqi, Gharabi, Kohati Gate command post and Kabuli police stations.
The police have also started checking hotels to verify the people staying there.
