Several persons including woman and children died in roof collapsed incidents in addition with movable and immovable were washed away during heavy and torrential rain here in Bara, Jamrud and Landi Kotal subdivisions of district Khyber.
As per reports, a woman identified as wife of Ilyas Khan was killed when the roof of a room caved in here in Aman Talab, Aka Khel village of Bara last day.
Owner of the house,Khyal Qadeem and his three children got injured and were shifted to the nearest health center for medical treatment, locals said.
In the same way two sisters passed away in the roof collapse of a room in Bazaar Zakha Khel,the remote area of Landi Kotal.
With the falling of the room of house of one, Qatar Gul, his two daughters killed and three children sustained wounds.
Similarly in the falling roof of the room of Laiq Jan Shinwari, buried his three children under the debris.
With joint efforts of Rescue 1122 officials and locals, the wounded were retrieved and shifted to hospital; however, the doctor confirmed the death of one child.
Two children got hurt in the roof collapse of the house of Gulab s/o Sher Dan in Ali Masjid,Jamrud.
Heavy property and financial loss has also been inflicted on the dwellers by flood fleshes in various sections of the district.
Emergency aid had been provided to the effectees and the administration officials pledged for further support on behalf of the government.
