Flood relays wreaked havoc in Tank and DI Khan districts, many villages were submerged

The continuous heavy rain since last night has wreaked havoc in Tank district and Dera Ismail Khan, communication roads, water channels, walls of houses and shops have collapsed.
District Administration, PDMA, Department of irrigation and TMA are sleeping in slumber, only Pak Army, FC jawans and rescue personnel are engaged in relief activities.
Demand to take notice from higher authorities, public circles
According to the details, the floods caused by the rain since last night have caused widespread destruction in Tank district and Dera Ismail Khan.
There are also reports of walls collapsing in UC Sir Nagzona, Nurses, Kot Murtaza, Kot Nawaz, Kot Sangin, Kot Khadak, and UC Gomal in Tank district,
From Gomalzam main road, the connecting roads of Nurses Burki abad, Faqir abad and Betni abad were washed away in the flood relay. The Sarabi water channel of thousands of kanals of land in Birki abad was also swept away by the flood.
Due to which standing crops of sugarcane, rice, vegetables worth crores of rupees have been severely damaged and the landlords are very worried.
At Kot Sangin, shops were also swept away by the flood, walls of dozens of houses were reported to have collapsed, so far no casualties have been reported.
On one hand, there is a fear of crossing the Gomal Zam Dam water limits located in Gomal area of wanatribal district of South Waziristan, on the other hand, people are forced to drink dirty water from Zam Dam instead of clean drinking water.
No facilities are available to the people from the district administration and the independent departments.
On the other hand, the sources say that due to non-availability of funds from the provincial government, the district administration and other departments cannot start their activities in this difficult time.
The local peoples critcised the PDM, an organization set up to deal with natural disasters, and said that the damages caused by the floods that occurred a few days ago have not been resolved yet, however, at the same time, cholera also raised its head in the region.
The local people also complained that the irrigation department has no name or sign here and instead of the tank, it is running its activities through remote control from Dera Ismail Khan, 80 km away.
Public circles demanded immediate reform of the situation from the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan, IGFC South and Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan.
It should be noted that earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mehmood Khan visited the flood-affected districts of Tank and Dera Ismail Khan separately and announced relief funds,
But until now, those flood victims were waiting for the flood that due to sudden torrential rains, more flood relays came, which caused losses of millions if not billions of rupees.
The district administration has completely failed to help the flood victims and residents of the area have piled up complaints.
On the other hand, in view of the threat of large-scale financial and economic losses due to floods, DC Tank Hameed Ullah Khattak has issued a notification that an emergency has been imposed across the district.
