Advisor to PM directs PESCO for setting up emergency relief cell to facilitate flood-hit areas

The provincial president of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and Advisor to Prime Minister on Political Affairs Engineer Amir Muqam has directed to devise a mechanism for uninterrupted power supply to areas affected by devastated floods and heavy rains in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP).
Advisor to PM Engineer Amir Muqam while chairing a high level meeting at Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) headquarters Peshawar here on Saturday directed officials concerned to ensure uninterrupted power supply to grid stations proving electricity to flood-hit areas of the province.
Amir Muqam also directed PESCO for setting up an emergency relief cell, adding that all available resources should be utilize for helping families suffered at the rains and floods in different districts.
“ Electricity supply should be ensured in flood-affected areas on an emergency basis,” he added.
He also instructed quarter concerned to suspend all holidays of relevant staff to ensure urgent redressal of public complaints.
Steps should be taken for uninterrupted power supply to the people keeping in mind the safety measures, Amir Maqam added.
He also claimed that those employees who performed better in the line of duty would be encouraged as government departments and their employees were the only hope of flood affected population.
Mr Amir Muqam said rewards will be given to the employees who show better performance in flood emergency and difficult situations.
