Qatar Charity distributedfoods among flood affectees

Local administration distributed in collaboration with Qatar Charity distributed food packages among 500 flood affected families in different areas of Khyber Pakhunkhwa, officials on Monday.
Qatar Charity coordinator for Khyber Pakhunkhwa Sajjad Khan said that the recent flash floods and heavy downpour had brought devastation and Pakistan. He said thousands of people displaced and their houses were washed away by flash floods. He said Qatar Chirity have established a number of quick response centres at flood affected localities to continue support of flood affected families.
He said they have prepared to provide support to more than 6000 affected families.
Sajjad said Qatar Charity would next week provide food packages and other necessary items to the flood affectees in Shalman areas of Landikotal tehsil in district Khyber.
He added that soon they would start the construction work of 12 houses destroyed in militancy related incidents in Tirah valley of district Khyber.
Sajjad said as part of flood response project, Qatar Charity in collaboration with local administrations and other social workers had started its relief work at various flood affected areas of Khyber Pakhunkhwa.He said in the first phase they provided food packages to 500 families in district Charsadda and district Bannu. The food packages were included of wheat flour, rice, ghee, beans, dates, sugar, salt,tea.
He said Qatar Charity continuously providing assistance to flood affected families in Khyber Kakhunkhwa.
The affected families and district Administration appreciated the efforts of Qatar Charity in reaching the most vulnerable families especially in this hard time.
