ISLAMABAD
Pakistan’s Under-16 boys tennis team has departed for Shymkent, Kazakhstan, to participate in the Davis Cup Juniors Asia/Oceania Final Qualifying event, scheduled to be held from May 16 to 24.
According to a press release issued here Friday, the national squad comprises Abubakar Talha, M. Hassan Usmani and Zohaib Afzal Malik, while M. Haseeb Aslam will accompany the team as captain.
President of the Pakistan Tennis Federation, Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, Secretary General Col. Zia-ud-din Tufail and other PTF officials extended their best wishes to the team for the prestigious event.
Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi expressed confidence in the squad, saying the team consisted of talented and promising players who were capable of delivering strong performances during the competition.
