District Police Officer (DPO) Waqar Ahmad on Wednesday held an important meeting with the leaders of Shia community of the district in his office and discussed security arrangements for Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S).
Besides, DSP Headquarters Inam Khan Gandapur and Sub-Inspector Sharifullah Khan Kundi, the meeting was attended by the leaders of Shia community from City, Garh Baloch and Ranwal.
DPO Tank Waqar Ahmad assured the Shia-Community that all possible steps would be taken for providing security to the community on the occasion Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S).
“All energies and available resources to be utilized to maintain the law and order situation and ensure the safety of life and property of the people during the coming Chehlum Imam Hussain,” he added.
DPO urged the community to back the police department steps during the specials days, adding citizen should also play their due role in maintaining a peaceful environment.
The leaders of the Shia community appreciated and thanked the role of police and especially DPO Tank for the foolproof security arrangements made during the last Muharram.
