PESHAWAR
The Provincial Development Working Party (PWDP) in its special meeting on Wednesday accorded approval to seven projects with a cost of Rs115.508 billion.
A statement issued here said the meeting of the forum was chaired by Additional Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shahab Ali Shah and attended by officials of the relevant departments.
On the special directions of Chief Minister Mahmood Khan, the Planning and Development (P&D) department convened a special PDWP meeting to accord approval to a number of developmental schemes in the areas affected by the recent floods across parts of the province.
The forum approved seven schemes pertaining to Construction and Works, Irrigation and Public Health Engineering for the uplift of the province.
Approved projects include Restoration of damaged flood structures, drainage system, water supplies in irrigation system and channels, restoration and rehabilitation of flood damaged water supply schemes of public health engineering department, restoration of roads and bridges infrastructure and PKHA roads and bridges infrastructure which have been damaged in devastating floods across KP.
