District Police Officer (DPO), Khyber Muhammad Imran suspended three police officials allegedly involved in dishonoring local women of Ali Masjid area and ordered judicial enquiry of the incident.
It is worth mentioning here that last day the three police officers on pretext of search humiliated the women of Kabir Abdal Khel family that irked the tribesmen of Ali Masjid villagers who blocked the Pak-Afghan highway in protest against it.
A representative Jirga of elders, Lawyers and, elites of Political Alliance including advocates Abdurrauf Afridi and Abdul Baqi Afridi, Maulana Ghufranullah Khybari, Zerghoon Shah Afridi, Malik Zarab Afridi, Journalist Sajid Ali Afridi and others called on DPO, Khyber in his office in Shahkas, subdivision Jamrud on Monday and appraised the police officer of misconduct,done by the police personnel to respectable women.
The district police head apologized to the affected family and the Jirga members and assured that stern action would be taken against the police officials, found guilty.
He suspended Manzoor Afridi,Hamid Afridi and Younas Afridi, the three police forces involved in the incident and ordered judicial enquiry of the incident.
It was the motto of the police force to serve the people and not to tease the residents for one or another reason, he added and said that no police official would be permitted to misuse his authority.
The tribesmen thanked and appreciated the abrupt action of the DPO, Khyber, against the allegedly guilty police officials.
