Police conduct mock drill of emergency response plan in UoP

In order to counter any untoward incident, the Capital City Police conducted various exercises in the premises of University of Peshawar (UoP) to check its preparedness.
SSP Operations Peshawar Kashif Aftab Abbasi supervised the drill which was participated by SP Cant Muhammad Azhar Khan and other police officers.
The teams of Rescue 1122, Sniffer Dogs, Local Police and Ladies Police Albarak Team, RRF, BDU took part in different operations.
During the Mock Exercise, the University of Peshawar building was besieged and the students and staff were evacuated safely and the area cleared from terrorists.
The drill include activities of transferring arrested persons to police station, establishing various special blockades, snap checking, and special checking with help of sniffer dogs.
Additionally, thwarting a terrorist attack was also part of the special exercise.
According to a statement issued by the police that overall aim of the drills inside the educational institutions of Peshawar to inspect the security arrangements and a comprehensive security audit foolproof security would be provided to important buildings and other offices of the government.
