ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) has rejected bail plea of one Tausif Abbas accused in ATM skimming case. A 3-member bench of SC presided over by Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan took up the case for hearing. Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan remarked all the banking system has been devastated due to thefts from ATM. FIA should probe all the matter well and go to the bottom. These thefts are undermining the confidence of people on banking system. Deputy Attorney General (DAG) told the court the accused was caught from the scene . Recovery of Rs 34000 was made from him. Justice Mazahir Ali Akbar inquired why the investigations have not been completed so far since the last 11 months. FIA investigation officer Assistant Director Zeeshan told the court investigations have been completed and challan has been filed in the court. The court while chiding investigation officer for coming late rejected the bail after arrest plea of the accused Tausif Abbas. Online
