PESHAWAR
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Standing Committee on Relief, Rehabilitation and Settlement department on Tuesday sent the audit report on compensation for houses demolished in the tribal districts of the province to the Public Accounts Committee.
The meeting of the committee was chaired by Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Tufail Anjum and attended by its members including MPA Ranjeet Singh, Wilson Wazir, Ghazi Jamal, Shagufta Malik and Basirat Khan.
Additional Secretary Relief, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Department, Deputy and Assistant Secretaries Provincial Assembly, Director General Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), DG Rescue 1122, DG Audit and other officers of the government department were also present in the meeting.
The forum after deliberation and review sent the audit report on the compensations given for the demolition of houses in the merged tribal districts to the Public Accounts Committee.
The forum issued orders to the assembly administration to visit the Punjab Emergency Services Academy.
The meeting was informed by DG Rescue 1122 that so far 3900 people have been recruited by the department in different phases.
MPA Shafuta Malik expressed her dissatisfaction over the report and sought a complete record of recruitment in the Rescue-1122 from the DG.
The Chairman of the Committee also issued orders to quarter concerned to appear before the forum with all relevant records.
The report comprising all advertisements, names of recruited persons, domicile, and identity cards should be produced before the meeting in the next meeting, he ordered.
