43 more dengue cases surface in KP

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reported 238 fresh dengue cases on Saturday, taking the active caseload to 1470. According to the directorate general health services updated report, during the last 24 hours 15 patients of dengue fever were admitted to hospitals in the province. As per the data new cases of dengue were reported from districts including Bannu, Battagram, Charasadda, Haripur,Kohat, Mardan and Peshawar. It added that there are a total 1470 active cases in KP and 79 of them are hospitalized, including 20 at Mardan 43 at Peshawar, 5 at Swabi and 6 at Charasadda district. Dengue fever has claimed 15 lives so far this year, while the total cases have reached 18374 in the province. As per the health department statistics, Peshawar and Mardan districts remained the hotspots for the dengue fever and reported the most cases and deaths. DLP Report
