Nowshera police has suspended a cop for making a video of a lady health worker (LHW) during polio duty and sharing it on social media.
LHW workers union Nowshera condemned the cop act of uploading the video to the social media and demanded district police officer to take strict action against the cop.
Following initial investigations, DPO Nowshera Waqas Rafiq while taking cognizance of the issue, suspended the cop and ordered inquiry against him.
A Nowshera police statement issued here said that respect of women was the first priority for the police personnel under the Islamic and Pashtun traditions.
He said that police was the guardian of the honor of women.
Besides, he said that directives have been issued to police officers and jawans against indulging in such activities in future, otherwise, strict action will be taken against them.
