No one can deny the role of womenfolk in the society and besides education, creating political awareness education among the Pakhtun is the need of time. Setting up consciousness seminars is one of the best options to sensitize women of their rights.
This was stated by the provincial council member of Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Neelam Gigyani while addressing a moot organized under the auspices of Waak Movement themed “women empowerment” held here in a private hotel in Peshawar last day.
Women from different segments of Pakhtun society participated in it.
Addressing on the occasion Neelam Gigyani and others said that the purpose of the Movement was to discuss and resolve issues being faced by females and utilized their capabilities in a better way.
The speakers urged to decorate the womenfolk with ornaments of knowledge besides entitle them to serve inside the homes.
Confining Pakhtun females to the boundaries of the houses and depriving them of getting education is harmful for the society, they remarked.
Positive role of women was vital for the establishment of civilized society, they added and said awareness sessions could impart knowledge and empower women.
It was a good omen that a number of Pakhtun women delivered their services in health, education and other departments and intended to prove themselves useful citizens of the country.
They demanded of the Pakhtun men to have mercy on their daughters and sisters and let them get education for the institution developed society.
