Nine people killed, three injured in a coal mine blast in Doli lower Orakzai district

Adviser to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Mineral Affairs Arif Ahmadzai has expressed his profound grief at the loss of precious lives in a coal mine blast in Doli lower Orakzai district.
At least nine workers were killed in a coal mine blast in Doli Orakzai on Wednesday.
As per initial details, the blast was caused by a gas explosion which claimed lives of nine coal mines workers and left three other sever injured.
The three injured coal mine workers and dead bodies of the workers were shifted to Kohat divisional headquarter hospital.
Arif Ahmadzai in a statement has said that officials of the mineral department have reached the spot and a rescue operation is underway, adding that 13 workers were working inside the coal mine and so far four workers have been safely recovered.
According to preliminary information nine workers have been killed by the explosion in the coal mines.
Mineral Advisor Arif Ahmadzai added that the deaths did not occur directly from the fire dump explosion, but due to accumulation of poisonous gas after the fire dump explosion.
He said that the public will be informed after the officials complete their search and rescue operation in the coal mine.
