PESHAWAR
Member Public Relations Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Sardar Ali Khawaja Thursday stressed public and private sector employees to timely file their tax returns and said our collective efforts are vital to improve and strengthen country’s economy.
He was addressing officials of Bank of Khyber, University of Engineering and Technology, Agriculture University Peshawar, Cherat Cement, Cherat Packages, IM Sciences, TESCO and PESCO during his visit to Regional Tax Office Peshawar.
He said that we must realize our national duty and file tax returns on time and added that consumers who fail to comply would have to face fine and action. He said that we want to develop a better working relation with filers as it would also impact economy of the country in a positive way.
He also stressed upon tax officials to arrange awareness seminars for consumers and directed attendants to submit written proposals about improvement of tax system to Chief Commissioner so that these suggestions could be discussed in FBR before next budget. He said that resolution of problems faced b consumers is our topmost priority.
Chief Commissioner Peshawar Zone, Aqeel Ahmad, Commissioner Peshawar Zone, Muhammad Ayaz, Commissioner Corporate Zone, Shoukat Hayat, Second Secretary Public Relations FBR, Faiza Rahim were also present on the occasion.
