The funeral prayer of Intelligence Bureau
(IB) Inspector Shaukat Mehboob, who had been martyred in a target killing incident in the limits of Mathra Police Station, was offered at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Line here on Tuesday.
Shaukat Mehboob was on his way back home when unidentified men opened fire on him, police said in a statement.
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali, Joint Director General IB Mazharul Haque Kakakhel, Additional IG police, CCPO Peshawar Muhammad Aijaz Khan, SSP Operations Kashif Aftab Abbasi, SSP Investigation Shahzad Farooq Kokab, SSP and other high ups of the law enforcement agencies attended the funeral prayers.
