10 outlaws held; drugs, weapons recovered

Islamabad capital police apprehended ten outlaws from different areas and recovered drugs and weapons with ammunition from their possession, a police public relations officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad capital police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directives, the Secretariat police team arrested two accused namely Muhammad Asif and Muhammad Farhad and recovered one dagger, 848 grams hashish and 366 grams heroin from their possession. Likewise, the Ramna police team arrested three accused namely Musa Khan, Azam Khan and Muhammad Sarfraz and recovered one 30 bore pistol, one 32 bore revolver and a knife from their possession.
Similarly, the Kirpa police team arrested an accused namely Abrar Hussain and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession. The Sabzi Mandi police team arrested three accused namely Ismail, Muhammad Zakria and Saleem Shabir and recovered three 30 bore pistols with ammunition from their possession. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
IGP Islamabad directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in drug peddling possessing illegal weapons. The performance of police officials in this regard would be reviewed on a continuous basis, he maintained. = DNA
