Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said on Thursday that the Senate members of the parliamentary committee on electoral reforms would be nominated soon.
In a post on social media, he said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) would each get two seats on the committee.
The Awami National Party (ANP), Balochistan Awami Party (BAP), National Party and Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-F) would each be given one seat, he added.
Tariq Fazal said the Leader of the House in the Senate, Deputy Prime Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, would finalise the names after consultations.
He said Ishaq Dar would make the final decision after consulting the opposition, government coalition partners and relevant parliamentary leaders.
