PharipuraPolice in an action on Tuesday rescued a 5-year-old boy who was abducted a weekearlier and arrested two suspects including a woman.
The arrested suspects,husband and wife, are the residents of Gul-Abad area which falls in the limits of Pharipura Police Station. ASP Faqirabad Syed TalalAhmad Shah said while talking to media persons that 5-year-old boy Tufail AhmadYounis, who was abducted a week earlier, had been rescued safely and accusedAnwar Khan and his wife have been arrested.
Three modern weaponsincluding a Kalashnikov, Kalakove and a pistola were also recovered from theaccused, he said and added that further investigation regarding the prime causeof abduction is underway.
SHO Bilal Hussain alongwith the investigation team has taken important action by tracing the accusedon modern scientific basis, SP added. Syed Talal Ahmad Shahmaintained that police are taking effective actions against the elements involvedin the street crimes, adding Ababeel Squad, City Patrolling and police snapchecking have been enhanced to control crimes in the circle.
