Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was murdered under the guise of a court decision. What was the threat to Zia-ul-Haq from the first elected Prime Minister of the country? Was the popularity of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto the only reason why he was killed by imposing martial law or were there other motives behind it? But behind the scenes there are many motivations and forces that played a key role in the assassination of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and the imposition of martial law in the country.

Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto also ruled the politics of Pakistan and there was no one greater politician than him. He was also the founder and chairman of Pakistan People’s Party, the country’s largest political party, the first elected ruler of Pakistan and the only popular leader in the history of Pakistan.
Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s personality had a magic spell on the people of Pakistan and after half a century, politics is still either pro Bhutto or anti Bhutto. This is the reason why Bhutto’s grandson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is also trying the same alchemy. In the history of the world, there is hardly any other example of a talismanic personality with such unfailing fame and popularity like Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.
Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was arrested for the first time on September 3, 1977, but was granted bail after ten days. On September 17, 1977, he was arrested again and a case was made against him for the murder of the father of a man named Ahmad Raza Kasuri. Bhutto had boycotted the proceedings of this case due to open bias, personal insults and insulting behavior of Chief Justice Maulvi Mushtaq Hussain, but on March 18, 1978, the Lahore High Court in a unilateral action pronounced the death sentence to Bhutto. On February 1979, the Supreme Court upheld the decision by a majority of three to four.
On March 24, 1979, the Supreme Court unanimously rejected the revision appeal. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto did not appeal for mercy but there were appeals from all over the world. And for the anti-Bhutto forces, this voice is no less than a nightmare. If the workers of the country still consider anyone as their leader, it is Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. All efforts to erase the Pakistan People’s Party from history have failed because it It is the firm belief of the laborers of the country that Bhutto’s heirs are their custodians.
