ISLAMABAD: Government has decided to summon joint session of the parliament in next week to approve the Islamabad Capital Territory Local Government (Amendment) Bill, 2022. According to assembly sources ministry of parliamentary affairs summary has been sent to the president with the advice of the Prime Minister. However president has not issued notification for summoning joint session. The local bodies amendment bill will be presented in the joint session of parliament for approval. The president had returned this bill without his signature. The bill will be again sent to the president after its approval from the president. The bill will become act within 10 days in case president does not sign it. Online
