Awami National Party (ANP) will stage protests in each district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday (tomorrow) to condemn the increase of essential food commodities and mis-governance as well as deliberately pushing the province to the present critical financial situation.
ANP workers and supporters under their local leadership will stage protest rallies in each district-headquarter, said the provincial president Aimal Wali Khan in a statement here on Monday.
He said that the increase in wheat and flour prices hurting the common man but the incumbent government did not take any practical step to control it. Mr Wali blamed what he called the failed incumbent government for messing up things “financailly and administratively” and exposing the province with the risk of default.
Announcing the protests, ANP leader said that people have been suffering due to provincial government tug of war with centre for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan, adding that the provincial government was busy in fighting for Bani-Gala, residence of Imran Khan, paying no attention to public difficulties and grievances as well as hardships.
Civil society organizations, traders, lawyers, and all walks of life from across the province have been urged to participate in protests against the provincial government.
