Supporters of Pakistan Tehreeke Insaf (PTI), Khyber chapter criticized the Federal government for unprecedented inflation in a protest rally held here at Babe Khyber, Jamrud on Friday.
Led by former Federal Minister Noorul Haq Qadri besides Member National Assembly (MNA) Iqbal Afridi ,Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Shafiq Afridi scores of local PTI elites and workers of the party were among the participants of the protest rally.
Speaking on the occasion Noorul Haq Qadri, Iqbal Afridi, Shafiq Afridi and others said that the imported government took the country to the verge of destruction and an unparalleled price hike was imposed on the laymen because of mal-policies.
The prices of petrol, diesels flour and other necessary commodities had gone beyond reach of the people and they had been enforced to commit suicides, they opined.
The speakers maintained that blaming the ex- PTI government for the poor economy, devastated the financial system of the country.
The Federal government lost its credibility among the masses therefore the incumbent government should abolish and conduct election as soon as possible, they said and added the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were punished only because they voted for Imran Khan led PTI.
They condemned the Central government for halting development funds to merged tribal districts and said all legal options would be utilized to get justice for the tribesmen.
The participants carried out banners and placards inscribed with slogans in favor of their demands.
