The funeral prayer of the martyred policemen offered at Malik Saad Police Lines

A terrorist attack left three policemen, including a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) martyred in the provincial capital. A planned overnight assault on the police took place at the Sarband Police Station, a suburban area of Peshawar which left three policemen including DSP Badaber Sardar Hussain martyred.
According to SSP Operations Peshawar Kashif Aftab Abbasi the police repulsed the attack with bravery, adding that terrorists attacked from different sides and used grenades, sniper rifles, automatic weapons in the attack.
He said that DSP and gunmen were targeted by sniper rifles.
DSP Sardar Hussain and the gunman were martyred while chasing the terrorists, SSP Operations added.
Meanwhile, the funeral prayer of three policemen martyred that took place in the provincial capital was offered here at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines. On this occasion a contingent of police presented a guard of honour to the martyred police officer and cops.
DIG Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Javed Iqbal, Mayor Peshawar Zubair Ali, SSP Operations Peshawar Kashif Aftab Abbasi, District Police Officer (DPO) Khyber Imran Khan, SSP Investigation Shahzad Kokab Farooq, senior officers of Pakistan Army, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peshawar Shafiullah and other officers attended the funeral prayers.
Governor KP Haji Gulam Ali, Provincial Minister Shahukat Yousifzai, Chief Secretary Shahzad Bangash, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Muazzam Jah Ansari, IG Frontier Core, Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Muhammad Aijaz Khan and high-ups of Pakistan Army laid flower wreaths on the coffins of the martyred policemen.
Later, with complete police protocol, the dead bodies of martyred policemen were departed for their final burial in their native areas.
