Preventive measures, awareness to control thalassaemia: Barrister Saif

Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Information and Public Relations, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, on Saturday called for preventive measures to control thalassaemia and stressed on all segments of society to raise awareness to end the ravages of the fatal disease.
He was speaking at the first annual summit of “The Blood Heroes” held in Peshawar Nishtar Hall.
The summit was a joint venture of the Blood Heroes, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Youth Affairs and Sports Department, Department of Culture and Tourism, Office of Deputy Commissioner Peshawar, Deputy Commissioner Voluntary Task Force, Fatimid Foundation, Al Khidmat Foundation and Aurat Foundation.
Addressing the young participants in the meeting, he said that despite the adverse conditions, our youth are dedicated to the spirit of service, especially the actions of the blood heroes are commendable and in this regard, the provincial government should encourage such valuable services.

Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif appreciated the organisers of the summit and said that all stakeholders have to work together against the fatal disease of thalassemia.
