CCPO Peshawar visits remote police check-posts

In order to inspect the security arrangements and level of alertness of the policemen, Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ijaz Khan visited the remote posts of the provincial capital on Friday.
According to an official statement, the CCPO paid the visits to the posts located at remote areas of Peshawar. During the visit, the concerned police officers were also present with him.
It is pertinent to mention here that after the terrorist attacks on the police force, the security has been put on high alert across the district.
CCPO on this occasion also clarified that Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), police and other law enforcers have jointly intensified targeted search operations in different areas of Peshawar. “Human intelligence based operations have been initiated to keep the law and order situation tightened,” Mr Aijaz Khan added.
He issued instructions to quarter concerned to increase patrolling and closely monitor suspicious persons. All exit and entry points have been put on high alert and additional personnel have been deployed at the check posts located at the remote parts of the provincial capital.
