MARDAN
Former federal minister Nawabzada Khwaja Mohammad Khan Hoti said that Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and Imran Khan both are fighting for power while people’s lives have become miserable due to inflation.
He expressed these views while addressing a news conference at Mardan press club. Khwaja Hoti strongly criticized the increase in petroleum products prices.
He added that PDM dropped petrol bomb on poor people. He added that the prices of ghee, rice and other daily commodities have also increased.
He added that after the visit of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) team the inflation will increase more.
He added that the government is imposing 600 billion more tax on the people. Khwaja Hoti added that instead of reducing its expenses, the government is imposing tax on the masses which is great cruelty.
Khwaja Hoti argued that the responsibility of bringing the country to the present condition is on the judiciary, the army and the self- interested politicians. He added that instead of decreasing their expenses the PDM has appointed a force of 150 people in the federal cabinet.
Khwaja Hoti added that PDM and Imran Khan are not thinking about the people but they are thinking about the ministries.
He argued that in the current situation they are struggling to appoint their people in the caretaker government. He argued that PDM has failed to give policy to the masses so far.
He added that 95 percent of people in the country are poor and the government is imposing taxes on them.
He added that it is need of time that masses of the country should come out on roads against the severe inflation. He also strongly condemned the statement of Imran Khan against Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co- chairman Asif Ali Zardari.
He added that these are frivolous statements politicians should not say such things. Khwaja Hoti added that the nation should not be entangled in more dramas.
He added that in the past he criticized Fawad Chaudri for his statements but he is a politician not a terrorist.
He added that the way Fawad Chaudhry was treated is wrong. Khwaja Hoti argued that 23 crore people of the country did not commit robberies, those who committed robberies should be held accountable. He added that strict accountability is the need of the hour.
He argued that there should be strict accountability and there should be punishment after corruption is proven. Khwaja Hoti added that there should be no accountability like Imran Khan.
He argued that all political parties including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf should be held accountable and after strict accountability elections should be held in the country. He added that it is the only way to bring out the country from the current crises.
