Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed on Saturday inaugurated a modern Police Facilitation Centre in Kabal tehsil during his visit to district Swat.
On his arrival in Swat, Regional Police Officer Malakand Zahid Nawaz Marwat received him, while young girls presented him bouquets of flowers.
The IGP formally inaugurated the centre by cutting the ribbon.
According to an official statement issued here, the inaugural ceremony was attended by RPO Malakand Zahid Nawaz Marwat, DPO Swat Muhammad Umar Khan, other police officers, local elders and media representatives.
Speaking on the occasion, the IGP said the Police Facilitation Centres were equipped with modern resources to provide prompt, transparent and citizen-centric policing services in a professional environment.
He said the initiative reflected the commitment of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police to increase public trust in police and improve service delivery through modern standards.
He said concrete steps were being taken under the people-friendly policy of KP Police to provide effective, accessible and justice-based police services. He said Police Facilitation Centres were being established in a phased manner at tehsil level in all districts to promote people-friendly policing, so that common citizens could also benefit from modern and citizen-centred policing facilities.
The IGP said Police Facilitation Centres had so far provided quality services to hundreds of visitors across the province and the process would continue.
He met the staff deployed at the centre and directed them to treat citizens visiting the centre with respect and courtesy, so that citizens could share their problems without hesitation and with confidence.
The centre will provide citizens with police clearance certificate, visa, travel and abroad clearance, employment verification, tenant registration, PSM mobile application, police services information, lost and found report, mobile tracing, law and traffic information and copy of daily diary, all under one roof.
