Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Shahzada Umar Abbas Babir visited Khyber Road to review the traffic management and no-parking zones.
SP Cantt Inayat Ali also accompanied him during the visit.
During the visit, CTO reviewed the flow of traffic and also praised the performance of traffic officers and wardens for clearing the road for all types of traffic and directed the traffic officials to keep the clear from jam.
Take actions against base encroachment mafia so that citizens do not face any kind of problems, he added and said that the traffic staff should clear the footpaths from the encroaching mafia so that the pedestrians do not face any kind of difficulties.
Traffic police chief directed the authorities to take strict action against the violators of the no parking zone so that citizens do not park their vehicles on the side of the road while taking legal action against the perpetrators.
Mr Babir maintained that all capabilities should be used to improve the flow of traffic uninterruptedly and no negligence will be tolerated in this regard.
The staff will continue to spread awareness about traffic rules and encroachments across the city as it is yielding better results.
He said that the business community should cooperate with the traffic staff to eliminate encroachment from the city and ensure smooth flow of traffic.
