Combaxx-Roshan Khan National Team Squash Championship
KARACHI
Wapda and Sindh’s players played well and dominated on the 3rd day matches of the ongoing COMBAXX – Roshan Khan National Team Squash Championship being organized by Pakistan Navy in collaboration with Combaxx Sports at the Pakistan Navy Roshan Khan Jahangir Khan Squash Complex, Karachi.
A total of four matches were played. The following are the results of the matches played on the 3rd day:
In the Morning Session, Pool – A (Men’s) category, WAPDA thumped Punjab 3 – 0. Noor Zaman Beat Khaqan Malik 11-5, 11-4, 11-8 (12 mins), Farhan Mehboob Beat Ahmed Amin 11-5, 11-5, 11-5 (14 mins) and Danish Atlas Beat Anas Ali Shah 11-5, 7-11, 11-2, 12-10 (24 mins) .
In Women’s contests, WAPDA thrashed Sindh 2 – 1. Noor Ul Ain Beat Mariam Malik 12-10, 8-11, 11-6, 11-7 (32 mins), Mehwish Ali lost to Noor Ul Huda 12-14, 10-12, 11-7, 5-11 (26 mins) and Samar Anjum Beat Sana Bahadur 11-8, 11-5, 11-6 (16 mins).
In the Evening Session, Pool – B (Mens), Sindh thrashed Balochistan by 1-2. Huraira Zafar lost against Jahanzaib Yousaf 11-13, 12-14, 11-7, 5-11 (26 mins) and Abdul Basit Beat Mazher Ali 11-1, 11-9, 11-6 (15 mins) and Aayeman Zahid Lost to Abdul Waqar 6-11, 13-11, 8-11, 7-11 (36 mins).
In the Women’s contests, Sindh overwhelmed Punjab by 2 -1.
Anum Mustafa lost to Rushna Mehboob 5-11, 7-11, 5-11 (15 mins)
While Mahnoor Ali Beat Fajar Hamid 11-5, 11-1, 11-1 (10 mins) and Sehrish Ali defeated Tayyaba Abbas 11-6, 11-5, 11-2 (13 mins).
