Zardari advises for not delaying polls in Punjab, KP

Differences have emerged during the meeting between Shahbaz Sharif, Asif Ali Zardari and Maulana Fazlur Rehman over the matter of polls for Punjab and KP assemblies.
Asif Zardari while giving the advice for not delaying the polls said Supreme Court (SC) will summon you in contempt of court case if government does not cooperate with Election Commission (EC).
Shahbaz Sharif and Maulana Fazlur Rehman opposed to hold election immediately.
The three big of the coalition government held important meeting here. Diverse opinions surfaced in regard to polls in respect of Punjab and KP assemblies.
Former president Asif Zardari advised government not to delay the process of election. He said SC will summon you in contempt of court case if government does not cooperate with EC in connection with polls.
He stated “ we will have to give solid legal and constitutional reasons for not holding election on fixed time.
PML-N is supportive of postponing the election in the perspective of economic and security situation of the country.
Shahbaz Sharif has expressed some reservations over the recent decisions of Supreme Court. Questions were raised over giving relief to Imran Khan persistently.
According to sources Maulana Fazlur Rehman while expressing reservations over the security situation in KP said economic and security situation be kept before all stake holders. Situation in KP is not as such that election campaign could be run therein.
The three allies have agreed on making more consultations on this matter.
Ishaq Dar opined that election can be delayed for two to four months in view of prevailing economic situation of the country.
