Arshad Khan briefs caretaker minister about the objectives of the department
PESHAWAR
The caretaker provincial minister for information and public relations, Auqaf, religious and minority affairs Barrister Feroz Jamal Shah Kakakhel has said that in the modern age of technology the responsibilities of the information department have increased manifold.
He expressed these views during his first visit to the department of information and public relation after taking charge as caretaker minister in the cabinet.
Secretary information department Arshad Khan and the heads of the sections concerned and senior officers warmly received the caretaker minister and briefed him about the performance and objectives of the department.
Advisor to Chief Minister and newly inducted member of the interim setup Pir Haroon Shah was also present on the occasion.
Caretaker minister expressed his confidence that the provincial information department would ensure proper implementation of the directive and targets set by the provincial government with utmost honesty.
Barrister Feroz Jamal Shah Kakakhel urged the officials of the department to perform their duties with honesty and dedication and play their role in spreading the culture of tolerance in the province.
He said that the provincial information department should work on its official’s capacity building as in the presence of social media platforms and novel technologies their role and responsibilities have increased.
Kakakhel maintained that friendly relations with media outlets and journalists would be increased and all available resources would be utilized to solve their problems.
