PTI fails to deliver in KP, says Peshawar Mayor

PESHAWAR: Peshawar Mayor Haji Zubair Ali has said that the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government has failed to deliver according to people’s expectations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said all pledges made with the voters of the province during 2013 and 2018 elections had been ignored by the PTI leadership in the province. Peshawar City Mayor expressed these views during a visit to the Dag union council of the district. On the occasion of his visit, he was accompanied by elected local representatives and elders of the areas. DLP Report
Haji Zubair Ali termed 10-year tenure of PTI in KP as a darkest period and said the lawmakers of the party had failed to start developmental works in their respective areas.
PTI lawmakers did not perform any remarkable work after pledging billion rupees for public welfare and development, he added and said despite meager resources, the Capital Metropolitan Government was taking historical developmental initiatives in Peshawar city and its suburbs.
“Along with the provision of basic facilities in different areas, steps are being taken to provide sanitation and clean water, he added.
Mr Zubair claimed that the installation of solar lights in streets will minimize the chances of street crimes, adding that resources have been allocated to develop sports grounds to engage the youth in healthy sports activities.
Mayor of Peshawar announced the construction and development of streets, including the establishment of transformers, gas pipelines, sewing machines, and sports grounds for the above-mentioned union council.
