Jirga seeks repatriation of Rajgal residents

Tribesmen asked safe and respected repatriation of Internal Displaced Persons (IDPs) of residents of Rajgal, Tirah valley, subdivision Jamrud district Khyber who left their homes in last two decades due to militancy in the area.
A grand jirga of Koki Khel tribes was held on Saturday at the hujra(male guest house) of the tribal elder Malik Faizullah Jan that was attended by a large number of elites, youths and representatives of the sub-tribes of Rajgal.
Addressing on the occasion Malik Faizullah Jan,Haji Muhammad Amin,Salih Khan, Khalid Afridi and others said that they had left their houses and taken refuge in down towns for the sake of the country however they were compelled to serve their lives below the poverty line.
They demanded of the government to ensure a second phase forthwith and respected return of the IDPs.
The participants asked to release compensation cheques to the affectees and urged the concerned authorities to carry out the survey of the IPDS who had suffered loss in the militancy.
Infrastructure in the localities had been demolished therefore the government should set up mega development projects for the welfare of the IDPs of Rajgal.
The elites also lauded efforts of the various officials who played their due role for the respected repatriation of the IDPs.
It is to be stated here that more than five thousand IDPs are waiting to return to their homes.
