If elections are not held simultaneously, then the same would happen after every five years: Ghulam Ali

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Ghulam Ali here on Thursday said that he had informed the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) about the security concerns of the provincial caretaker government related to polls.
Talking to media, he said that political matters should not be taken to court rather, such matters should be solved amicably, adding that all the political parties of the country agreed on one point that there should be no separate election in the country.
The Governor said that two days ago, several former MPAs of PTI contacted him from Zaman Park and requested to hold elections simultaneously adding that he advised them to convince their leader Imran Khan in this regard.
Ghulam Ali said that if elections are not held simultaneously, then the same would happen after every five years. “Imran Khan won seven out of eight seats in the by-poll but still he made hues and cries of rigging over his defeat from one constituency”, he expressed.
He said that the situation of Zaman Park earned bad name for the country and such an incident should not have happened, adding that it would not be remembered in good words in the history. The Governor said that the political people never fear arrest rather they present themselves for the arrest without any resistance.
Regarding posting and transfers in the province, the Governor rejected his involvement in any posting and transfer and said that during the tenure of PTI government, a specific segment of bureaucracy was running the affairs of the province.
Governor attends ceremony at GCF; urged students to venture into new fields of science
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Haji Ghulam Ali here Thursday highlighted the importance of young generation for development of country and said that youngsters should venture into new fields of technology and prepare themselves to meet challenges of current world.
He expressed these views as a Chief Guest in a ceremony held in Government College Faqirabad (GCF). The ceremony was also attended by Mayor Peshawar, Haji Zubair Ali, Chairman Peshawar Board, Nasrullah, Principal Government College Faqirabad, Dr. Taj-ud-Din and faculty members.
Addressing the ceremony, KP Governor urged students to work with dedication and added that their hard work and honestly would open new vistas of progress and growth for themselves.
He also urged students to abide by golden principles of discipline, unity, mutual respect, honesty, and tolerance in their lives to achieve success. He said that students should use contemporary digital platform to acquire knowledge of their respective fields.
Governor said that promotion of quality education is among top of the government priority list and added that steps have been taken to facilitate students and improve facilities in educational institutions.
He also laid foundation stone of new academic bloc in the college and announced renovation of college hall. He said that steps would be make arrangements for parking in the college.
Haji Ghulam Ali also distributed certificates among students for their performance in intermediate examinations.
On the occasion, City Mayor, Haji Zubair Ali announced 50,000 rupees for student of college, Touqeer Zia who topped Peshawar board in 2021 and 2022.
