Efforts underway for better population planning in KP: CM aide

The Population Welfare Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is working together with relevant stockholders on initiatives to narrow the communication gap between the public and the department to strengthen programme devised for better population planning in the province, said Syed Jarrar Hussain Bukhari, advisor on population welfare.
He said that the department has decided to devise an effective mechanism to increase the capacity of the relevant staff operational in the field and achieve desired goals set by the department for slowing down the population growth and family planing in the province.
Syed Jarrar Hussain Bukhari expressed these views during a meeting with the delegation led by former provincial minister Shuja Khan.
“We are providing international quality counseling and technical training to the field staff of the department in collaboration with various private institutions so that the growing population can experience the theoretical, scientific, practical, religious, economic and social issues,”he added and said that skills of the staff members of the Population Welfare Department would be polished with trainings and their capacity building programs would be launched in near future for better results in the field.
In an effort to accelerate the analysis capacity, work underway to enhance communication between the public and the department.
Minister Shuja Khan assured practical measures related to population welfare and all kinds of cooperation to control the growing population.
