On the occasion of Pakistan Day ,three exhibition Hockey matches were organized at Olympian Islahuddin and Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah Hockey Academy. In these matches Olympians XI, Women’s Orange and Juniors Blue Won.
Olympian XI beat International XI by two goals to one, Arif Bhopali scored both goals for Olympians team while Irfan Sr. scored the only goal of the International National XI. In the match played between the girls teams, Orange beat White 2-0. Sahrish Sabir and Yamuna Fatima scored goals. in the Jr boy’s match Blue beat White Huzaifa Shahid scored a goal for winners.
Hockey matches were played in the floodlights of Olympian Islahuddin and Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah Hockey Academy. The chairman of the academy, Olympian Islahuddin, also highlighted the importance of Pakistan Day. Finally, he thanked the chief guest. Former Test cricketer Sadiq Muhammad, Begum Asma Ali Shah, Ayesha, Mahfooz-ul-Haq and others were also absent from the matches.
Finally, the chief guest gave the winning trophy to Olympian Syed Sameer Hussain, the captain of the Olympians XI, while the runner-up trophy was given to Olympian Qamar Ibrahim, the women’s orange team captain Sahrish Sabir and the winning captain of the boys’ junior match, Huzaifa Shahid received the trophy.
The chief guest was presented with a commemorative shield by the academy’s Chairman Olympian Islahudin.
